Audi A6 Highlights
For those familiar with the executive luxury car segment, the Audi A6 has always been perceived as an unaccomplished rival. A lot of buyers have given preference to other German brands that offer sporty appeal and heritage, while the A6 has appealed to those who like an understated design language. Say no more, for the 2019 Audi A6 brings in sporty styling, surprising amounts of space, and an abundance of tech. So, for an insignificant difference in pricing, Audi A6 is now much more complete than ever.Exterior
From the outside, the 2019 Audi A6 new model retains its muscular, broad stance, but the alterations have made it a lot nicer to look at. Up-front, it gets a sportier bumper with big air-inlets and of course the signature chrome grille. Then there are the striking Matrix headlamps that have a combination of DRL fibre optic LED patterns in the cluster. Along the side, things remain the same; the flared wheel arches look nice, and the sharp beltline remains. The 18-inch alloy wheels are now dual-tone. The dynamic turn signals look cool when lit up. At the rear, the split-pattern lighting can be found in the tail lamps as well, and there's a faux diffuser integrated into the rear bumper with rectangular twin exhausts.
Variants
The Audi A6 variants are as follows: 45 TFSI Premium Plus and 45 TFSI Technology. Features include a Bang & Olufsen hi-fi audio system, dual-touchscreen MMI infotainment system, four-zone automatic climate control, multi-function steering, a memory function for the driver's seat, a navigation system, adaptive high-beam assist, parking sensors for the front and rear, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic headlamps, electrically-adjustable seats and 360-degree cameras. On the safety front, it gets ABS, 8 airbags, EBD and vehicle stability control.
Interior
Inside the cabin, the dashboard gets a lovely un-veneered wood finish across. And customers can choose from various leather colour options. Right ahead of the driver, the instrument cluster boasts the brand's Virtual Cockpit system. The front passenger seat can be controlled at the rear via a set of buttons, and the gear lever, although simple, feels nice to use. The quality of plastics and metals is top-notch, and the overall layout is good, which you would expect from the Audi A6 on-road price and segment. As you sink into the huge seats at the front and rear, you realise just how comfortable and supportive they are, with ample legroom and headroom for the chauffeur-driven lot. Also, rear occupants can make the most of their own climate control settings.
Engine Specifications & Performance
The Audi A6 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with front-wheel drive layout that produces 245bhp and 370Nm of torque. It is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Audi's Drive Select comes as standard and comes with Comfort, Dynamic, Auto and Individual driving modes. The engine is smooth and power delivery is linear. The refinement from this engine is just exemplary. The gearbox's shifts are really quick and the paddles make it that bit more exciting. It loses out on adaptive air suspension, which was there in the older Audi. The ride quality is immaculate, for the suspension is beautifully tuned to absorb bumps, be it during city commutes or highway overhauls, and body roll is in check when setting in Dynamic mode. Also, the steering feels particularly weighty in this mode.

MATRIX LED HEADLIGHTS OF AN AUDI A6: DESIGN
Whether it's technical progress, the expansion of e-mobility or increased demands on vehicle design: The importance of vehicle lighting continues to grow. It has long since ceased to be "just" about good lighting performance. Technologies that combine technical innovation with high energy efficiency and an advanced, individual design are in demand. HELLA provides an impressive example of what is possible in this field with the Audi A6 Matrix LED main headlamp, which represents another milestone in technology and lighting design. The Matrix LED main headlamp "merges" with the vehicle in purely visual terms - and is also technically fully integrated into the vehicle electronics.
In interaction with the front camera system, the Matrix LED can realise a dynamic light distribution in real time. The intelligent control of the individual LEDs not only ensures optimum, targeted illumination of the road and other objects, but also contributes significantly to greater safety in road traffic - dazzling other road users is now a thing of the past, even when the main beam is permanently switched on.
The "heart" of the Matrix LED headlamp is the lighting technology used, which enables intelligent control of the light diodes. All lighting functions can be realised through these. Two fans integrated into the headlamp, together with the sophisticated thermal management system, prevent the electrics from overheating. The individual light functions are controlled by the light control units (LCU) installed on the headlamp housing. As with the Audi A8 Matrix headlights , the light is distributed via projection modules or reflectors.Communication between the lighting control units and the other control units in the vehicle takes place via the vehicle's data bus. In this way, coordination between the Matrix LED headlights and the vehicle's assistance systems takes place within milliseconds. The light distribution is adapted to the respective driving and surrounding situation via programmed switching algorithms. In addition to classic light functions such as low beam and high beam, the Matrix LED headlamp has additional comfort functions - in detail, these are all-weather light, motorway light, cornering light, and "tourist light" (when driving in left-hand traffic with left-hand drive). Daytime running light and indicator light are realised via light guide technology. Also available are optional light functions such as coming home / leaving home
