Audi Q3 2020

The Audi Q3 is a true all-rounder. Whether on a holiday trip or for everyday driving, it offers plenty of space and its practical details ensure rich variety. The driving sensation is sporty and comfortable at the same time. An especially athletic variation is the Audi Q3 Sportback, which combines the emotional appeal of a coupé with the functionality of an SUV.

The New Audi Q3 Launches In March 2020 For Prices Starting Around Rs 45 Lakh On-road.

  • The 2020 Audi Q3 trades its soft and flowing lines for a sharper and sportier theme.
  • Noted features include connected car technology, ambient lighting as well as a Bang and Olufsen sound system.
  • The 2020 Audi Q3 could be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine developing 190PS and 320Nm.
  • Its rivals include the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

Audi India will launch the 2020 Q3 premium compact SUV in March 2020, as confirmed by dealer sources. They’ve informed us that it will come with a BS6-compliant petrol engine and is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 45 lakh to Rs 50 lakh (on-road). The 2020 Audi Q3 is the third product that will come to India under Audi's plan to introduce nine all-new cars by the end of 2020. Let’s see what the latest Q3 brings to the table

The second-generation Q3 has traded its soft flowing lines for a sharper and sportier theme. Despite the transformation, the premium SUV can still be recognised as a Q3. The front-end comes with Audi’s trademark vertical slat grille that are flanked by LED headlamps. Below it are the faux air dams that add up to the sportier theme. At the side, the 2020 Q3 looks similar to the existing model and comes with a shoulder line flowing cleanly through the profile. The new 10-spoke alloy wheels complement the overall style. At the rear, there is a new tailgate with a sharply raked windscreen and LED tail lamps.

Inside, the Q3’s cabin features the latest dashboard design as seen in more modern Audis. While you get Audi’s 10.1-inch MMI infotainment system and Virtual Cockpit, the touchscreen interface for the climate control as seen in bigger Audis isn't present here.
Noted features in the 2020 Audi Q3 include connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, cruise control as well as powered front seats. Radar-based safety systems like adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and active lane assist are offered in the UK-spec model. However, these are unlikely to be present in the India-spec model.

Under the hood, the international-spec 2020 Q3 comes with various petrol and diesel powertrains. For India, it could come with a BS6-compliant petrol engine only as informed by dealer sources. The suspected engine is likely to be the 2.0-litre TSI engine that puts out 190PS and 320Nm of torque. It might be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and could come with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi’s decision to go petrol-only might put it at a disadvantage as Mercedes-Benz and BMW are steadily updating their diesel models to meet the BS6 emission norms.

The 2020 Audi Q3 will rekindle its rivalry with the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA when it hits Indian roads.
